Date Of Birth: April 22, 1945
Date Of Death: February 6, 2011
Jack A. Howard, 65, passed away February 6th, 2011. He was predeceased by his only brother, John, a Vietnam War casualty, and his mother, Rose Howard.
Jack also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
He was in the Sheet Metal Industry for over 30 years. He created many art pieces from scrap material. He made miniature bicycles, tricycles, brass beds, rocking chairs, many one of a kind pieces of art, his work and detail is truly amazing.
Jack was an everyday customer, and loved by many at Sister’s Restaurant. They displayed some of his work in a case, and he was then featured once in the Southside voice and once in Senior Life. He was happy to be Heirloom Classics First Friday in October’s Artist.
He was a very kind, caring and giving person. Rather feeding a mouse or a homeless stranger. When he started dialysis, he gave his shop to long time employees Bob and Patty. He was always giving a piece of art to someone who touched him in a kind way. He will be forever loved and remembered.
Jack will be buried with honors at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Noon.
